Shoulder Injury Rules KL Rahul out of IPL 2017 – India’s ace opener who had a key part in India’s victory over Australia suffered a shoulder injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Due to this, the Karnataka lad is set to miss IPL 2017. This is a huge blow for Royal Challengers Bangalore. According to some sources, KL Rahul will soon be travelling to London for shoulder surgery.
It is understood that RCB franchise was well aware of KL Rahul’s injury and were well prepared for his injury forced exit from IPL 2017. Rahul also spoke about his injury during the second Test at Bangalore. Rahul discussed how injury restricted him from playing some strokes. His 6 half centuries from seven innings was a crucial contribution in India’s series win. He scored 393 runs behind Cheteshwar Pujara to finish third highest scorer in the series. This injury blow will hurt Royal Challengers Bangalore. This is the third setback after Mitchell Starc’s withdrawal and Virat Kohli’s injury. There is no official word on healing time required for the shoulder but all Indians are hoping the opening batsman to return for all important ICC Champions Trophy scheduled in June followed by Sri Lanka tour.
