IPL 2017: Virat Kohli Likely To Miss First Few Games For RCB

IPL 2017: Virat Kohli Likely To Miss First Few Games For RCB – The last thing which RCB ever hoped for is Virat getting injured and missing few games for their side. But it seems that Royal Challengers Bangalore will have to start IPL 2017 without their key member Virat Kohli who injured his shoulder during India vs Australia 3rd Test. Virat Kohli also missed the 4th Test against Australia at Dharamshala. (Trending Now: IPL 2017 Schedule PDF Download)

The speculations of Virat Kohli missing first few games of IPL began after the post-match presentation where the winning captain said that it may take few more weeks before I can be 100% on the field. Virat Kohli is still recovering from shoulder injury suffered during Ranchi test. While attempting to stop a boundary, Indian skipper injured his shoulder.

There is no official announcement yet from Royal Challengers Bangalore on Kohli’s availability. Virat Kohli has been an injury free player for the most part of his career. He has missed just one game in the franchise so far, in the inaugural season in 2008. Under his captaincy, RCB reached the 2016 IPL Final. In the same season, Virat managed to score 973 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He missed a unique record of becoming the first player to score 1000 runs in IPL season by just a few runs.

Earlier Brad Hodge had taken jibe at Virat by saying

I’m hopeful, as a Gujarat Lions coach, that when we play RCB in a couple of weeks that he’s not playing. Because if you miss one game of Test cricket and you’re fronting up the next week for RCB versus whoever, at Bangalore, Chinnaswamy Stadium. You’d be pretty dirty if he didn’t front up to a Test match and try and win a valuable series against Australia. You would think that your captain would get out there and get amongst the fight .
